Solution: In its dormant state, a faint green glow emanates from this hanging wall lamp. When the user is enticed to reach out and touch the lamp, he is surprised by a flash of illumination. The glowing circle of green and red light responds as he changes the pressure and position of his hand.

Mechanism: Two lasers (green and red) are mounted on opposite sides of the outer perimeter of the box. The laser beams are reflected inward by mirrors and are planarly dispersed by acrylic lenses. When the user deforms the elastic fabric covering the front of the lamp, it intercepts and diffuses this plane of light.
